As active members of the Ramsau Mountain Rescue Service, we know the best places and all the via ferratas in the area and offer you comprehensive advice on planning your tours. You also have the opportunity to borrow via ferrata equipment directly from us at the hotel so that you can safely climb the magnificent peaks of our region – for example the imposing south faces of the Dachstein massif.

Your host Heribert Eisl and his sons are passionate mountaineers and climbers and not only often venture into the local mountains in their own time, but are also very active in the Ramsau mountain rescue service, rescuing people from a wide variety of predicaments.

As chairman of the mountain rescue service, Heribert also acts as an adviser for the TV series "Die Bergretter”, which is produced on location for ORF and ZDF and, together with his sons, Heribert is actively involved in the necessary safety work as part of the sometimes very complex and sometimes dangerous filming. In the course of this activity, new challenges have to be mastered on a regular basis, and of course there have been many extraordinary experiences and incidents over time.
